What to expect

When you arrive, you will be given a locker, slippers and a comfortable robe to wear between treatments. You may place your valuables in the locker for safekeeping. We ask that you leave your cellular phone, beeper and jewelry behind.

After showing you to your private treatment room, your therapist will step out, allowing you to replace your robe with a towel or sheet. Throughout treatment, you will be draped to protect your privacy.

For your convenience, all treatment times include assessment, preparation, and education.

A word about Spa etiquette

The Spa is a haven of tranquility; refraining from the use of cell phones and pagers is appreciated. Lowered voices are also an important part of the spa environment. This is a time for you to delegate all worries and give yourself up to the experience. Let us nurture and revitalize you. Whether you wish to be alone with your thoughts or converse with your therapist - we take our signal from you. Please communicate any discomfort, special needs or questions to your therapist, so that your experience is as enjoyable as possible. Relax. Refresh. Renew. Reinvent.

A word about reservations: In order for us to serve you better, reservations are strongly encouraged.

A word about gratuities: In appreciation to the staff for outstanding service, gratuities may be given at your discretion.

To Properly Enjoy Your Experience

Please arrive promptly for your appointment. This allows us time to receive you and gives you a few minutes to unwind. This also enables you to change into a dressing gown and begin your experience relaxed and on time. Arriving late will force us to shorten treatment time, and your appointment may even have to be re-booked or modified. This is necessary to ensure that the next client's appointment is not delayed.

To know before you go or . . . what to know before it goes!

Why Wax?

Waxing removes hair from below the skin surface, unlike shaving. This has the immediate effect of smooth, hair free skin and a finer regrowth. Continued epilation through waxing can weaken the papilla or root of the hair, resulting in less dense hair growth. Hair removal below the skin level takes longer to grow back to the skin surface; You will enjoy much longer lasting results than shaving alone and no razor burn.

The Short and the Long of It:

Hair must be .25" long, or a minimum of 3 weeks growth for effective and less painful removal. If hair has grown longer it should be trimmed to a half an inch long prior to your appointment. This will make the service less painful and minimize the chances of breakage or ingrown hair.

Before your Service:

Do not tan 24 hours before your service, this increases skin sensitivity.
Avoid moisturizing the area to be waxed as it may reduce the wax's adherence to unwanted hair

First timers:

If this is your first time receiving this service, taking 2 acetaminophen
or Ibuprofen 30 minutes before your service will help .

After your Service:

Avoid tanning or exfoliation for 24 hours after the service, again to minimize skin sensitivity. Do not have a HOT bath or shower the next day.
